Mechanical Engineering with specialization in Mechatronics/ Automobile Manufacturing

Mechanical Engineering is one of the oldest engineering branches that fulfil the demand of individual component, machinery and different systems and sub systems. Mechatronics, a specialized filed of mechanical engineering is a composite of mechanical engineering, electronics, computer engineering, telecommunications, systems engineering and control engineering. It focuses on different facets of mechatronics like modelling, real-time computer interfacing, sensors, controllers and actuators. Mechanical Engineering also plays an important role in automobile industries, they are responsible for the designing of components, machines, systems and processes particularly in the area of manufacturing and various other applications. They are also responsible for the evaluation of the designs based on various principle for ensuring safety, reliability and efficiency. TNU’s B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering students can opt for specializations like Mechatronics or Automobile Manufacturing. Students will be provided with advanced knowledge and skills in academic course-work covering theory, fundamentals, and hands-on experience with real-world applications to learn innovative design and system creations, apart from several research opportunities.
