Tourism and Hospitality combine to form the largest industry in the world, employing more people and resources than any other.In India, Tourism is a sunrise industry with WTO identifying it as one with the largest growth potential in the coming decade.

With its snow-capped mountains, some of the finest beaches, reserve forests and wildlife, deserts, heritage and architecture et al – India is poised to emerge as the biggest tourist destination for both international and domestic markets.

The Ambuja Neotia group being already a hospitality major with its hotels, resorts and restaurants, it is but natural that the expertise gained over the years is wellutilized in hospitality education and training. The School of Hospitality and Culinary Art (SHCA) is located inside the sprawling TNU campus. The facilities at SHCA can be compared to the best in the world. The food production labs, the training restaurants, the classrooms, and the central library – all are commissioned with state-of-the-art equipment and provide maximum comfort. Each member of faculty has quality experience in both industry and teaching. Another useful advantage a student of BHA gains is the on-campus residential facility. Twin sharing accommodation with four nutritious meals in a day, coupled with the serene university environment, provides a student with a unique experience of comprehensive learning.

Course Structure on 3-year Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Administration (BHA)

Semester 1

Business of tourism and hospitality, English for Hospitality and Tourism, Kitchen Operation, Food and Beverage Operations, Beverage Studies, Food Science and Sanitation.

Semester 2

Principles of Accounting, Business Communication, Kitchen Operation, Food and Beverage Operations, Accommodation Operations, Principles of Marketing, Tourism Economics.

Semester 3

INTERNSHIP 1

Semester 4

Sales and Customer Relations Management, Accommodation Management, Food and Beverage Management, MICE Management, Hospitality Human Resource Management.

Semester 5

INTERNSHIP 2

Semester 6

TOUR toHTMi, Switzerland: Tourism and Hospitality Law, Convention and Banquet Sales, Organisational Behaviour and Practices, Entrepreneurship for Hospitality, Service Quality Management, Financial Management. Oenology.

  • Academic Collaboration

    Hotel and Tourism Management Institute (HTMi), Switzerland, is a leading hotel management institute in the world, preparing students for a management career in the global hospitality industry. HTMi is the academic partner of TNU & jointly runs the undergraduate course. As a leader in the field of hospitality studies, HTMi will provide TNU not only the design content of the course & teaching expertise, but will monitor the process with stringent audit & evaluation of performance also. Each student of BHA will be awarded with a qualifying certificate at the end of each year. Armed with the degree from TNU & Diplomas from HTMi, the doors to international placement would be readily open for an SHCA student.

    As an integral part of the course, each student of SHCA will get an opportunity of travelling to Switzerland at HTMi for an International exposure!
