TNU’s M.Sc in Biotechnology is the field that involves the use of living organisms and bioprocesses in engineering, technology, medicine and other fields requiring bio products. TNU’s Applied Microbiology is the study of microorganisms such as bacteria, viruses, algae, fungi, and some types of parasites, to understand how these organisms live, grow, and interact in/with their environments. These programme will include curriculum designed by academic experts and shall facilitate research and hands-on experiential training in well-equipped laboratories to provide students with real-life work experience. TNU has Membership with Association of Biotechnology Led Enterprises (ABLE). ABLE is a not-for- profit pan-India forum that represents the Indian Biotechnology Sector. ABLE has over 400 members from all across India representing all verticals of the sector like Agribiotech, Bio-pharma, Industrial biotech, Bioinformatics, Investment banks and Venture Capital firms, leading Research and Academic Institutes and Law Firms and Equipment Suppliers.
After completing the course, Graduates with M.Sc in Biotechnology/ Applied Microbiology can purse M.Phil. and Ph.D. programmes.
