Dr. Abhijit Samanta

Dr. Abhijit Samanta received his Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Chemistry from University of Calcutta, Kolkata. He has started his research as Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under CSIR, New Delhi in the Department of Petroleum Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology (ISM), Dhanbad and awarded PhD in Applied Chemistry in collaboration with Department of Applied Chemistry and Department of Petroleum Engineering, IIT(ISM), Dhanbad. In connection with his research, he has worked as Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Department of Petroleum Engineering at Texas A&M University.

Dr. Samanta is presently working as Assistant Professor at The Neotia University, West Bengal. With nearly 6 years of teaching and 10 years of research experience, he has contributed about 20 research papers in various peer-reviewed international and Scopus Indexed Journals. His book entitled “Design of Alkali-Surfactant-Polymer Flooding for Enhanced Oil Recovery” was published by LAP LAMBERT Academic Publishing GmbH & Co. KG, Germany. He also regularly reviews journal papers from Journal of Applied Polymer Science (Wiley), Journal of Surfactants and Detergents (Springerlink), Petroleum Science and Technology (Taylor & Francis), Journal of Chemistry (Hindawi), International Journal of Petroleum Engineering (Inderscience Publishers and others.
