Paramita Dhar Chakraborty completed her B.A.(Law), LL.B. and LL.M. from University of North Bengal and had completed her M.Phil on dissertation entitled, “Crime Against Women”. She started her teaching career in law in the year 2004 and prior to joining the School of Legal Studies in The Neotia University she served as Co-ordinator, Department of Law, University of Kalyani and Lecturer-in-Charge at S.K. Acharya Institute of Law.
She has several publications to her credit in reputed law Journals. She has been very active in organizing and participating in international and national seminars. Considerable time has also been spent by her in organizing Moot Court competitions, Youth Parliaments, Legal Awareness and Legal Aid Camps. She is currently serving as a member judge in Kalyani Sub-divisional Court, a position she has held since 2011.
Her areas of interest include constitutional law, human rights and family law.
