Dr. Biswajit Ghosh

Prof. (Dr.) Biswajit Ghosh, Professor of Energy Engineering and Dean of Engineering Sciences. Professor Ghosh received his M.Sc. degree in Physics from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, PhD and D. Engg. / D.Sc. (Engineering) degree from Jadavpur University, Kolkata. He is involved with photovoltaic research at Jadavpur University since 1978 and made pioneering contributions in the field of electrical contacting technologies to the opto-electronic materials & devices in general and thin film photovoltaic cells in particular. Using electro-chemical and defect induced contacting techniques he opened up new avenues of research. He also discovered of electro-kinetic effects from photovoltaic power plants which showed its potential applications for ‘Agrivoltaic’, the duel use of land for energy and food security.
Professor Ghosh involved with School of Energy Studies, the first interdisciplinary academic unit, at Jadavpur University since its inception period. His original scientific and outstanding technological works placed the School at the global academic forum.
Prof. Ghosh worked as the postdoctoral researcher at Stuttgart University, Germany, Fellow of European Commission and Visiting Reader at Northumbira University at Newcastle, Academic Visitor at Imperial College, London, Royal Society Overseas Scientist at University of Surrey, Guildford and Visiting Professor as well as Leverhulme Visiting Professor at Newcastle University, Newcastle, UK. Apart from fundamental studies Professor Ghosh is also involved in design, development, installation and monitoring of several MWp level grid connected photovoltaic power plants both in India and abroad. He also worked with United Nation Industrial Organization (UNIDO) as advisor in Energy & Climate Change. Government of West Bengal honored him with ‘Sikharatna’, the ‘Outstanding Teacher’ and National Institute of Technology, Agartola, honored him with D.Sc. for his outstanding contributions in Science, Engineering and Education.
Professor Ghosh published more than 100 research papers in reputed SCI Journals and Conference Proceedings, generated 12 patents, wrote two book and several book chapters. His research papers were cited in many publications.
Dr. Niloy Sarkar

Prof. (Dr.) Niloy Sarkar is a graduate in the branch of Life Science with honors from University of Calcutta. Prof. Sarkar is a Post Graduate in Public System Management with specialization in Health Care and Hospital Management from Indian Institute of Social Welfare and Business Management (IISWBM), Kolkata. He holds M. Phil. in Hospital and Health System Management from Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) – Pilani in collaboration with the Tulane University Medical Centre, New Orleans, USA and Christian Medical College and Hospital, Vellore. The National Institute of Technology (NIT), Durgapur has awarded him Ph.D. in Social Science and Management.
He has over 21 years of experience. Prior to joining The Neotia University, he was the Dean – Academics in NSHM Knowledge Campus (NSHM College of Management & Technology) - Durgapur and prior to that he was with C.K. Birla Group of Hospitals in different capacities. Dr. Sarkar remained the Regional Director for Indian Society for Health Administrator (ISHA), Bangalore. He remained Advisor for UNICEF sponsored health project to the state government. At present, Prof. Sarkar is one of the National Committee member on IT and ITeS of Confederation of Indian Industries (CII)- New Delhi.
Dr. Sushil Kumar Kothari

Prof. (Dr.) Sushil Kumar Kothari has more than 35 years of Academic, Research and Development expertise in Agriculture (including 14 years as Director/Consultant in corporate sector). He was Director of Roshini Group of companies, CTO of Roshini International Bio-Energy Corporation and Scientist at CSIR- CIMAP, Lucknow. A DAAD fellow (German Academic Exchange Service, Bonn), he studied at Institute of Plant Nutrition, University of Hohenheim, Stuttgart (post doc), Indian Agriculture Research Institute, New Delhi (Ph.D. Agronomy), BCKV, West Bengal (M.Sc. Agronomy and B.Sc. Agriculture).
He has done his research work on the development of agro-technologies of Medicinal, Aromatic and Bio-fuel crops. He is a Life member of the Indian Society of Agronomy, Indian Society of Soil Science, Indian Society for Spices and Essential Oil Association of India. He has 87 publications in peer reviewed national and international journals with 1658 Google Scholar citations and has attended 52 national and 11 international conferences.
Dr. Malay Kumar Samanta

Prof.(Dr.) Malay Kumar Samanta has done his B.Pharm and M.Pharm degrees from Jadavpur University, Kolkata and Ph.D. in Pharmacy from The TN Dr. M.G.R Medical University, Chennai. Dr. Samanta has an overall Twenty Nine years of experiences in Academic, Research and Educational Administration in University set-up. Before this, he worked as the Registrar, Kalyani University, Nadia and as the Principal, Global College of Pharmaceutical Technology, Krishnanagar. His research areas are on Novel Drug Delivery System, Bio-Pharmaceutics & Pharmacokinetics.
He is associated with various capacities including Academic Boards for many universities and scientific reviewer for ICMR, DST and other Govt. Agencies. Dr. Samanta received National Award for Teaching Excellence from Indus Foundation, Andhra Pradesh. He was the Host Scientist- FULBRIGHT Senior Specialist by United States Education Foundation of India (USEFI) in collaboration with Council for International Exchange of Scholars (CIES), USA. He acted as the Guest Scientist under Indo-German Exchange program with the University of Regensburg, Germany.
He has published Fifty Eight scientific research papers in various national and international journals with three books, one book chapter and six general professional articles. He is also having Seventy Six research papers presentations in various national and international seminars and conferences. He has produced Thirteen Ph.D.s and guided Fifty M.Pharm projects by generating project funds from ICMR, CSIR, AICTE & DBT in the tune of 2.02 crores.

Mr. Rupam Ghosh

Mr. Rupam Ghosh is an acclaimed academician with over 26 years of professional experience in handling various facets of Administration, Academics and Training & Development. He is an alumnus of IHM –Kolkata with an expertise in food and beverage department and holds an MBA degree in Human Resource.
Mr. Ghosh has played senior management roles in various organizations. He has served as the Vice Principal - SRM IHM @ SRM University, Chennai. He also served as Principal- Golden Regency Institute of Hospitality Management, Haldia (under MAKAUT). He has worked in key managerial roles with Mahindra Holidays and Resort India Ltd and Ohri’s, Hyderabad to name a few.
Apart from this Mr. Ghosh has played an integral role in guiding well known hotel management colleges such as SRM IHM Modinagar, SRM IHM Sonepat for their set up as per the standards of the National Council during his tenure with SRM.
He has also undergone training on modern techniques of dealing with the future managers, at Regency Hotel School in Adelaide, South Australia.
His expertise lies in heading a big team and possess tremendous track record for his managerial skills. He has also spearheaded training sessions for the employees of the Hospitality department at CPT Haldia. His greatest strengths include collaborative leadership, strategic planning, empowering educators to develop their leadership and instructional skills.
