With technological advancements and increasing demand for informative and entertaining content, the field of Mass Communication has seen a huge increase in job opportunities. Mass communication is all about imparting information effectively to a large number of people through print, electronics, and digital media like television, radio, newspapers, magazines, websites, blogs, and social media. The course BA Hons. in Mass Communication, introduces students to concepts related to mass media and communication. The course will cover ways to prepare, deliver, and direct media programs, and will give a detailed understanding of digital media and traditional mass media.  The course will outline the different genres of photography and the basics of contemporary photographic techniques, the principles of sound and recording, the concepts of video editing terms, their applications, and a brief look into the evolution of editing. The course content will also make students familiar with the fundamentals of script writing and fiction writing. The students will be taught to interpret the different advanced recording and post-production processes. The course will address different filmmaking practices and different filmmaking styles. The course will include the basic concept of Marketing and its application, the concept and application of Advertising and Public Relations as a modern-day system of winning the market and audience. The course will present an overview of Television in India, different television genres, and new streaming platforms. The course has been designed to make students familiar with major film theories and various approaches to film analysis and the making of documentary films. The course will acquaint students with the different production scenarios for online and offline productions, using Multi-camera shooting techniques.
