Organized an Outreach Programme and Farmer-Scientist Interactive Meet on 15.12.2022

The School of Agriculture & Allied Sciences has organized an Outreach Programme and Farmer-Scientist Interactive Meet on 15.12.2022. A team headed by Dr. Bidisha Mondal, HOD, Genetics & Plant Breeding and Principal Investigator of Betel Leaf Essential Oil Extraction project (TNU/R&D/F6) with two final year B.Sc Agriculture (Hons.) student Ms. Sayani Pal and Mr. Sourav Basak visited the serene island. The programme gave immense information on diverse germplasms of betel-leaf, propagation methods, post-harvest procedures adopted by farmers for betel-leaf marketing. The farmer-academia interactive meet was a huge success.
