Dr. Atreya Banerjee

Dr. Banerjee teaches English at TNU. He comes from an English and Comparative Literature background, and has studied under the University of Calcutta (BA) and Jadavpur University (MA, MPhil and PhD). He has qualified NET-JRF, and has been teaching both core literature and communicative English papers since 2013. His Doctoral Research was on the relationship between literature and ecology. His teaching and research interests lie in the areas of Ecocriticism, Cultural Studies, Literary Theory, Literature and Other Arts/Media, Drama, Indian, English, Native American, African, Caribbean and Canadian Literatures, Postcolonialism, Subaltern Studies and Translation Studies. He has a number of National and International Publications. Also, he has attended many National and International Conferences.
