Dr. Malay Kumar Samanta

Prof.(Dr.) Malay Kumar Samanta has done his B.Pharm and M.Pharm degrees from Jadavpur University, Kolkata and Ph.D. in Pharmacy from The TN Dr. M.G.R Medical University, Chennai. Dr. Samanta has an overall Twenty Nine years of experiences in Academic, Research and Educational Administration in University set-up. Before this, he worked as the Registrar, Kalyani University, Nadia and as the Principal, Global College of Pharmaceutical Technology, Krishnanagar. His research areas are on Novel Drug Delivery System, Bio-Pharmaceutics & Pharmacokinetics.

He is associated with various capacities including Academic Boards for many universities and scientific reviewer for ICMR, DST and other Govt. Agencies. Dr. Samanta received National Award for Teaching Excellence from Indus Foundation, Andhra Pradesh. He was the Host Scientist- FULBRIGHT Senior Specialist by United States Education Foundation of India (USEFI) in collaboration with Council for International Exchange of Scholars (CIES), USA. He acted as the Guest Scientist under Indo-German Exchange program with the University of Regensburg, Germany.

He has published Fifty Eight scientific research papers in various national and international journals with three books, one book chapter and six general professional articles. He is also having Seventy Six research papers presentations in various national and international seminars and conferences. He has produced Thirteen Ph.D.s and guided Fifty M.Pharm projects by generating project funds from ICMR, CSIR, AICTE & DBT in the tune of 2.02 crores.
