Lateral Admission – 2nd Year of Engineering & Technology Program
Lateral admission into the Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) program is offered by ‘The Neotia University (TNU)’. The B.Tech – Lateral Entry course enables the students to get a lateral entry into the B. Tech program after obtaining either diploma in Engineering or B.Sc. degree. This program will help the students to gain a quality learning experiences that will shape their success in chosen fields. Entering into this program the students will have an additional advantage in having the opportunities in using both diploma and B.Sc. degree in conjunction with the B. Tech degree. The course is designed for candidates with a 3-year Diploma in Engineering or B.Sc. Degree with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics to get direct admission to 2nd year (3rd semester) of the ongoing B. Tech. Program of the University.
Students will get an enhanced learning experience through TNU’s unique pedagogy that combines classroom sessions with novel teaching, learning, and hands-on experiments methodologies as well as an Internship in the related field of study. TNU is going to make its global linkage in education to help its students integrating themselves into the international ambiances for exploring their careers.
Students taking lateral admission into 2nd Year do not have to appear for any entrance test.
Entry requirements: Students who have passed 3 years Diploma in Engineering or passed B.Sc. Degree having Mathematics as a subject in 12th Standard.

Lateral Entry/ Migration (Credit Transfer) For all Subjects
1. Lateral Entry Admission & Migration with Credit Transfer of Students is possible in all Under Graduate subjects offered by TNU.
2. In 3-Year Courses – Lateral Entry/ Credit Transfer possible in 2nd Year only.
3. In 4-Year Course – Lateral Entry/ Credit Transfer possible in 2nd & 3rd Year only.
4. Personal Interview by the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor/ Competent Authority.
5. The University may allow admission of certain students even if they do not satisfy the admission crieteria/s that is by obtaining approval from the University’s Admission Committee.

(1) ** Staying at TNU Hostel is optional except for the courses of MRE (Marine Engg.) & BNS (Nautical Sc.) as per DG Shipping, Govt. of India rules with extra fee (Rs 45000/- per semester + Rs 23000/- – One Time Fee) (Rs 15000/- refundable).
(2) Uniform is mandatory for MRE (Marine Engg.), BNS (Nautical Sc.) & All Courses under School of Hospitality & Culinary Art and Management courses with extra fee as applicable.
(3) Students are entitled for FREE Study Materials / Books on every semester.
(4) Separate Hostel for Boys & Girls are Available on first come first serve basis with extra fee as applicable (Rs 45,000/- per semester + Rs 23000/- – One Time Fee) (Rs 15000/- refundable).
(5) AC Bus Transportation facilities are avaialble from various parts of Kolkata & nearby locations on first come first serve basis with extra fee as applicable (Rs.22,000/- per semester — Up & Down).
(6) 25% to 100% SCHOLARSHIP on tution fees is AVALABLE for qualified candidates as per the TNU Scholarship criteria.
(7) Eligibility percentage (%) for UG programs will be calculated on Best of Five (05) Subjects of Class-XII Board Examination. Only Valid & Recognized Boards & Universities are accepted. For Post Graduate courses overall percentage in Graduation will be consider and for Lateral Entry courses overall percentage in Diploma will be consider.”
