M.Sc. (Ag.) in Soil Science is a 2 year’s Post Graduate Level programme. This 2 years duration includes 4 semesters, with each semester lasting a period of 6 months. During each semester, students will face separate sets of theoretical subjects as well as practical sessions. Apart from those subjects, seminars and Research work (Thesis work) also plays an important role in M.Sc. (Ag.) in the Soil Science programme.
After completion of M.Sc. (Ag.) in Soil Science, students will be able to conduct research work in different locations, collection of soil samples, processing and storing, and analysis of various physical and chemical parameters of soil, estimation of essential nutrients and identify and solve the problems related to nutrient deficiencies and physiological disorders etc.
Candidates might opt their jobs as Agricultural scientist, Farm Manager, Research Fellow, Management Trainee, Laboratory Technician, School teacher, Soil scientist etc. Students can also opt for Ph. D. in Soil Science.
