Research Interest:
- Biofilm-Mediated Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR): Exploring the molecular mechanisms by which microbial biofilms contribute to drug resistance, particularly in pathogenic bacteria like MRSA and Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
- Natural and Synthetic Compounds for Biofilm Inhibition: Evaluating the anti-biofilm potential of phytochemicals and engineered synthetic agents against multi-species biofilms.
- Bioinformatics Approaches to Biofilm Inhibition: In silico modeling of quorum sensing pathways and biofilm regulatory networks, Molecular docking and dynamics studies to identify anti-biofilm drug candidates, Genomic and transcriptomic analysis of biofilm-forming strains.
- Microbial Biofilm in Bioremediation: Harnessing biofilm-forming microbial consortia for the degradation of environmental pollutants, including plastics and hydrocarbons.
- Structural and Functional Annotation of Biofilm-Associated Proteins: Using computational tools to analyze biofilm-specific proteins for potential as diagnostic markers or therapeutic targets.
