The Eligibility criteria may be revised by the competent Authorities of The Neotia University, if required.
Staying at TNU Hostel is optional except for all Maritime Studies Courses as per DG Shipping, Govt. of India rules with extra fee (Rs 45,000/- per semester + Rs 23,000/- – One Time Fee) (Rs 15,000/- refundable).
Uniform is mandatory for MRE (Marine Engg.), BNS (Nautical Sc.), & all courses under the School of Hospitality & Culinary Art and Management or any other department as per regulations and requirements of the University, with extra fee (actual) as applicable.
Students are entitled to FREE Study Materials / Books every semester.
Separate hostels for boys & girls are available on a first-come, first-serve basis with extra fee as applicable (Rs. 45,000/- per semester + Rs. 23,000/- – One Time Fee) (Rs. 15,000/- refundable).
AC Bus Transportation facilities are available from various parts of Kolkata & nearby locations on a first-come, first-serve basis with extra fee as applicable (Rs. 22,000/-* per semester — Up & Down). (*Subject to revision by the management as and when required)
25% to 100% SCHOLARSHIP on tuition fees is available for qualified candidates as per the TNU Scholarship criteria, EXCEPT for Vocational Studies and Post Graduate Courses in 2026-27.
Eligibility percentage (%) for UG programs will be calculated on the Best of Five (05) subjects of the Class-XII Board Examination. Only valid & recognized boards & universities are accepted. For Post Graduate courses, the overall percentage in Graduation will be considered, and for Lateral Entry courses, the overall percentage in Diploma will be considered.
For the earlier 3 Years UG Courses, it will now be a (3 + 1) Years Course. The final 1 year (i.e., 7th & 8th Semester) will have On Job Training (OJT) or Research Works. Students opting for OJT will pay Rs. 12,000/- per semester for 7th & 8th, and those eligible and opting for Research Works will have to pay the FULL SEMESTER FEE for 7th & 8th Semesters.
