I take this opportunity to introduce our Department of Biotechnology, School of Science and Technology, The Neotia University.
All of our faculty members are accomplished researchers; helping the students to navigate complex questions easily. Our teachers help us a lot by clearing out whatever doubts we have regarding our studies. They mentor us, even providing extra classes to students weak in their academics.
Our classrooms are spacious. Teachers use projectors to teach us. Thus, we get to see the enlarged image of what we are studying and also, teachers are able to show us explanatory videos to help us understand the topic better.
The laboratories of our department are clean and very well maintained. All the necessary reagents and machines, required not only by students, but also by research scholars are present in perfectly fine condition. Teachers allow students to handle all instruments and machineries (such as micropipettes, spectrophotometers, and many more) and chemicals, thus enabling hands-on experience with real world techniques. There are many laboratories in our department, each specific for a particular subject (molecular biology, green biotechnology, etc).
Our department encourages curiosity and innovation. Innovative ideas from students are encouraged by teachers, who guide the students to accomplish them. Our department hosts seminars, biotechnology fests and also arranges internships for students. Thus, we get well versed to experience biotech industries.
Our department has arranged the curriculum in such a way, which makes students think out of box by fostering critical thinking, ethical reasoning and improving problem-solving skills. The teachers and research scholars are very friendly with the students, which makes the Department of Biotechnology just like a big family.
