Meet Kasturee Bhattacharya, a passionate culinary enthusiast who turned her dreams into achievements at The Neotia University, graduating in 2023 with a B.Sc. in Culinary Art from the School of Hospitality and Culinary Art. Her journey is a blend of perseverance, inspiration, and the pursuit of excellence.

In 2020, after already earning a B. Com (Hons.) degree, Kasturee decided to follow her heart and embark on a second academic path—this time aligning her career with her passion for culinary arts. Introduced to the university by a close friend, she soon discovered that The Neotia University stood out for its academic excellence, lush green campus, and a calm environment, far removed from the chaos of city life.

Reflecting on her four-year journey, Kasturee shares, “Choosing the Neotia University was one of the best decisions I’ve made. It gave me not just an education, but a purpose and a community. “Her time at the university was marked by vibrant learning experiences, active participation, and endless motivation. The faculty, whom she fondly describes as mentors and friends, played a pivotal role in her academic and personal development. “Every small encouragement from them turned into fuel for my passion,” she recalls. Living in the on-campus women’s hostel, she experienced a wholesome and secure campus life that added to her overall growth and sense of belonging. The constant focus on skill development, hands-on training, and innovative learning transformed her into a confident culinary professional. In recognition of her outstanding performance, Kasturee was awarded the University Gold Medal as the Topper of her Department—a moment she describes as a dream come true, though bittersweet, as it coincided with her farewell during the convocation ceremony. Today, Kasturee is pursuing her Master’s in Culinary Management, continuing to sharpen her expertise. Yet, her heart remains closely tied to The Neotia University. “If I ever pursue a higher degree, I know exactly where I’d want to return,” she says with pride. Kasturee’s story is a shining example of how The Neotia University nurtures talent and passion, turning aspirations into achievements and students into professionals ready to lead in the culinary world.
