One Day National Seminar on “Regenerative Agriculture for Improving Soil Health”

The event was organized in Hybrid mode on 24th April 2024 in the Seminar Hall of SB-III Building by the Department of Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry under the School of Agriculture and Allied Sciences, The Neotia University. In the seminar, several eminent speakers from academia and industry experts were present, enlightening the audience with their presentations. The speakers consisted of Dr. Biswapati Mandal {Former Professor, (Soil Science) and Pro VC of BCKV, W.B., Dr. Soumitra Das (Director-Asia Pacific- Zinc Nutrient Initiative, International Zinc Association), Mr. Saumitra Kesh Pandey (CRM & Digitization, Paras Brand of Indorama), Mr. Swapan Roy (Former State Marketing Manager, IFFCO, Kolkata), Mr. Biswarup Bose (Business Head, SAI Fertilizers Pvt. Ltd.), Mr. Subhasis Biswas (Chief Manager, Paradeep Phosphates Limited) and Mr. Debashish Dutta (FO, IFFCO, Kolkata). The seminar was conducted in two Technical Sessions (I & II) which were chaired by Prof. Subas Chandra Dinda, Dean, School of Pharmacy (Technical Session I), and Dr. Buddheswar Maji, Former Principal Scientist and Head ICAR-CSSRI, Regional Research Station, Canningtown, W.B. (Technical Session II). The seminar also consisted of a poster competition among the student participants and a variety of posters were displayed highlighting the theme of the symposium. This National Seminar enriched the audience regarding the importance of soil health which could be achieved by adopting regenerative agriculture.
