    Course Overview

    The B.Voc. Agriculture is a 3-years program offered by School of Agriculture and Allied Sciences, The Neotia University. This program is designed considering UGC mandateof combining general education (72 credits in six semesters) with specific job roles/ skill development (108 credits in six semesters) as part of internship. Each student get opportunity to work in industry and become familiar with job requirement& environment.     Program Educational Objective

    • To provide judicious mix of skills relating to a profession and appropriatecontent of General Education.
    • To ensure that the students have adequate knowledge and skills, so that they are work ready at each exit point of the programme.
    • To provide flexibility to the students by means of pre-defined entry andmultiple exit points.
    • To integrate NSQF within the undergraduate level of higher education in order to enhance employability of the graduates and meet industryrequirements. Such graduates apart from meeting the needs of local andnational industry are also expected to be equipped to become part of theglobal workforce.
    • To provide vertical mobility to students coming out of 10+2 withvocational subjects.

    Scope after completion of the course:

    • After completing 1st year (Diploma) students will become eligible to get jobs in KPS, UPPS, Seed companies, Pesticide companies, NGOs, FPOs, CADC, Sales Officer, Computer operator, Digital marketing etc.
    • After completing 2nd year (Advanced Diploma) students will become eligible to get jobs in KPS, UPPS, Private dairy & poultry farms, Nurseries, Fertilizer companies, NGOs, FPOs, Account assistant etc.
    • After completing 3rd year (B.Voc Degree) students will become eligible to get jobs in KPS, Field Officer, UPPS, Market Development Officer (MDO), Irrigation companies, NGOs, FPOs, Farm Manager, etc.

    Pedagogy

    • All the classrooms have interactive smart boards / projector.
    • Classrooms are equipped with 75-inch interactive panels, backed by UPS and 100 Mbps internet connectivity and seating arrangement for 60 students.
    • Course wise lesson plans are made available to the students at the beginning of the semester.
    • Video / film links/ e-contents are provided related to the course.
    • Hosts a variety of seminars, symposiums, orientation programmes, and workshop.

    Infrastructure

    • The School of Agriculture and Allied Sciences is equipped with 17 Labs and 3 Experiential Learning modules unit viz. Mushroom Unit, Sericulture Unit & Beekeeping Unit.
    • The School of Agriculture and Allied Sciences has 9.84 ha land area for conducting various practical works in Instructional farm, Polyhouse, Net house, land shaping models, Orchards etc.

    Step 1:

    Sign up /Fill up the Application Form

    The student must first complete the Registration/Enquiry Form via the TNU website (www.tnu.in) or any other online platform that provides access to the TNU Registration/Enquiry link. Upon submitting the Registration Form, the student will receive a link via email, SMS, or WhatsApp to complete the Application Form. The Admission Counsellor at TNU will assist in filling out the form. Upon submission, a unique application number will be assigned to the student.

    Step 2:

    Appear for Admission Entrance Test

    All undergraduate course applicants are required to take an admission entrance examination. Once the Application Form is submitted, the Admission Test option will become available on the Student Dashboard. By selecting this link, students can complete the test at their convenience from any location. Students applying for lateral entry into postgraduate courses are exempt from this test. A distinct admission test will be organized for PhD candidates.

    Step 3:

    Test Results

    Within 24 hrs. of Admisison Test, the test results will be available at student’s Dashboard. 40% is the qualifying marks for the test.

    Step 4:

    Provisional Admission

    Following the submission of the Application Form, if the student successfully passes the entrance examination, they may secure provisional admission in their chosen and available course by remitting a fee of Rs.10,000/-. The payment procedure and link are provided above. Upon completion of the payment via TNU’s Payment Gateway, a receipt will be generated and can be accessed on the student’s Dashboard.

    Step 5:

    Final Admission

    After students receive their H.S (10+2) marks and meet TNU’s eligibility requirements for a specific course, they may secure final admission by remitting the outstanding balance of the first semester fee. Once the final admission fee is paid, a UID number will be generated for the student, allowing them to attend classes. The provisional start date for classes is set for August 1, 2025.
