Dr. Chandra Mukherjee, Assistant Professor and former Head of the Department of Basic Science at the School of Integrated Sciences, The Neotia University, Kolkata. With over 20 years of teaching and academic experience, she is a seasoned environmental educator and a committed advocate for sustainable development. Dr. Mukherjee has significantly contributed to environmental awareness through her expertise in green campus initiatives, climate change education and biodiversity conservation.
She holds a Ph.D. in Science from Jadavpur University and a postgraduate degree in Environmental Science from the University of Kalyani. Dr. Mukherjee has been instrumental in institutional accreditation processes as a NAAC and IQAC Coordinator and is actively involved in various administrative and academic bodies. Dr. Mukherjee also serves as the Convenor of IIC, TNU.
She is a certified ISO 14001:2015 Lead Auditor. Dr. Mukherjee is a Life Member of the Indian Meteorological Society (IMS) with a commitment towards the programs, activities and vision of the Indian Meteorological Society.
Her research focuses on environmental intelligence, nanotechnology for pollutant detection, wastewater management and smart environmental solutions. She has led and participated in several funded research projects, including those supported by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), India. Dr. Mukherjee is also a published author in reputed journals and an editor of institutional publications.
An enthusiastic participant in academic development, she has attended numerous national and international faculty development programs and seminars. Through her work, Dr. Mukherjee continues to inspire sustainable practices and foster academic excellence within higher education.
