Dr. Subhasish Mondal
Associate Professor
Dr. Mondal has long working experience of about 18 years in the fields of research, teaching and industry. He got into study of Pharmaceutical Sciences because that was about the closest discipline that could connect him to the vast masses of humankind. Ultimately, he came out with postdoctoral experience. At the early stage of his career he worked at Bengal Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals. Ltd. (A Government of India Enterprise). He worked as a founding faculty member at Bharat Technology, Howrah. Additionally, he has teaching experiences in many reputed organizations like NSHM Knowledge Campus, Bengal School of Technology and even at Jadavpur University. Dr. Mondal, at the beginning of his research career, started working on neglected tropical diseases like visceral leishmaniasis. His research focuses on mitochondrial bioenergetics and development of nanomedicines against Kala-Azar, cancers and HIV. He has published his new findings in many international journals with high impact factors such as PLoS Neglected Tropical Diseases, PLoS ONE, Journal of Bioenergetics and Biomembranes, International Journal of Nanomedicine, Acta Tropica, International Journal of Biological Macromolecules, Colloids and Surfaces B: Biointerfaces, Acta Parasitologica, Biokhimia etc. and also presented several papers in many national and international scientific conferences. All his works have got several citations around the world within a few years. He is currently working on infectious diseases, tissue cultures and nanomedicine.
