Meet Disha Sarkar, a final-year student of B.Sc. in Hospitality and Hotel Administration at The Neotia University. Disha’s journey is a true testament to how dedication, the right guidance, and an empowering environment can shape a promising career. Currently undergoing her specialization training at The Westin Kolkata, Disha has already made remarkable strides in the hospitality industry. She has been shortlisted for the final round of the prestigious Management Trainee program at Green Park Hotels and Resorts and has also made it to the final selection stages of the Hotel Operational Trainee programs with some of the biggest names in the industry, including Taj, Oberoi, Park, Lalit, and more. Disha attributes her success to the unwavering support of her department, the dedicated faculty, and the Head of the Department at the School of Hospitality and Culinary Art. “Coming from a small town, getting the opportunity to work with such renowned brands feels like a dream come true,” she shares. She reflects on her transformation—how the university has helped her evolve in grooming, communication skills, and professional knowledge. “The level of learning I have received here is truly a treasure. I’m genuinely grateful to have been part of this incredible institution,” Disha adds.
