Meet Sambit Mahanti, a proud graduate from the 2020–2023 batch of the B.Sc. in Hospitality Administration with Swiss Diploma at The Neotia University. For Sambit, hospitality has never been just a subject—it’s a lifestyle filled with excitement, challenges, creativity, and unforgettable experiences. Sambit’s journey began in 2020 with a spark of curiosity and a heart full of enthusiasm. “I was excited and nervous stepping into this world,” he recalls. “But little did I know that this university would become a second family, giving me memories that will stay with me for life. “Throughout his three-year journey, Sambit immersed himself in the vibrant campus culture—from annual food fests and workshops to live interactions and student-led events. These experiences helped him build confidence, sharpen his skills, and understand the real spirit of hospitality. He also credits his dedicated faculty members as key pillars of his success. “This journey would have been difficult without the constant guidance and support of our incredible teachers,” he says. Their mentorship helped shape his understanding of the industry, while pushing him to constantly strive for excellence. Campus life wasn’t just about academics—it was about personal growth, community bonding, and finding joy in everyday moments, whether participating in campus events or relaxing amidst the greenery of the university’s well-equipped hostel. The School of Hospitality and Culinary Art, with its strong industry collaborations, ensured that students were well-prepared for real-world opportunities. Sambit successfully secured two placement offers through campus recruitment, and is now proudly working as a Facilities Executive at JLL (Jones Lang LaSalle). Adding to his list of achievements, Sambit was awarded a Gold Medal for Academic Excellence during the convocation ceremony—an emotional and nostalgic milestone marking the end of a transformative chapter. Looking back, Sambit shares, “This place holds an eternal glow in my heart. It’s more than just a university—it’s home. And I look forward to visiting often, cherishing every memory and bond I’ve created here.” Sambit’s journey is a glowing example of how The Neotia University transforms passion into profession, empowering students to live their dreams with confidence and class.
