Mr. Amitava Banerjee is a distinguished alumnus of the-then DMET (1973-’77 batch), now Indian Maritime University (IMU). He holds an Extra First Class (India) Certificate of Competency & Post-Graduation in Maritime Safety Administration (MRE) from World Maritime University, Malmo, Sweden. He sailed for about 8 years on board cargo ships, oil tankers, bulk carriers, and LPG & passenger ships. He served the Directorate General of Shipping, Government of India, Mumbai as Chief Surveyor-cum-Additional Director-General & Ex-Officio Chief Examiner of Engineers for 6 years.
Mr. Angshuman Chatterjee has been the doyen of hospitality education in the country. An academician since 1988, he taught in the college of the Govt. of India for 21 years. While he served different colleges as Principal/Director, Mr. Chatterjee has from time to time gone back to work in the industry also. He used to head the HR department of a global multinational company spread in 11 countries. He has also served the Ambuja Neotia group as the Chief Learning Officer and Head – Hospitality HR.
Dr. Sarkar remained the Regional Director for Indian Society for Health Administrator (ISHA), Bangalore. He remained Advisor for UNICEF sponsored health project to the state government. Dr. Sarkar is presently the member of National Committee on IT and ITES of CII- New Delhi. He is a visiting/ guest Professor for Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS)-Pilani. He is also an internal Auditor for NABH, Quality Council of India (QCI). He has over 21 years of experience. Prior to joining The Neotia University, he was the Dean – Academics in NSHM College of Management & Technology- Durgapur and prior to that he was with C.K. Birla Group of Hospitals in different capacities.
Dr. Sujoy Biswas is the HOD of ECE and is also the acting Principal of NITMAS. He was actively involved in the design and development of various RF projects for Schomandl (Germany), Indian Defense and Space organizations like DRDO, DEAL, SAC, and ISRO. Dr. Biswas is a member of IEEE and is the present Vice Chair of IEEE AP-MTT Kolkata Chapter.He was awarded by IEEE AP-MTT Chapter of Kolkata for his efforts in organizing a flagship event Indian Antenna Week (IAW) in 2010. He is on the board of reviewers of several international journals including IEEE Transaction on Antennas & Propagation, IEEE Antennas & Wireless Propagation Letters, to name a few.
Dr. Prosun Tribedi is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Biotechnology & Bioinformatics. He has several research accomplishments in the fields of biotechnology, microbial ecology, bioremediation, microbial biofilm and many more. He has been awarded the Young Scientist Research Grant from DST, Govt. of India in 2015 (Rs. 23.2 lakhs). He has the title of Co-Principal Investigator on a research project from Assam Science Technology and Environmental Council, Govt. of Assam. (Amount Sanctioned Rs. 3.25 lakhs). He has published 24 articles in international research papers, and 3 in a highly reputed international magazine.
