My journey in the Department of Biotechnology at The Neotia University has been an incredibly enriching and transformative experience. From the very beginning, the department has imbibed ingenuity — to question, explore, and innovate. The well-equipped laboratories, research-based curriculum, and emphasis on hands-on learning helped me build a strong foundation in both classical and modern biotechnological techniques.
A large part of this growth is due to the visionary leadership of Dr. Prosun Tribedi, Head of the Department of Biotechnology. His constant encouragement, innovative teaching methods, and research-oriented approach have shaped the department into the vibrant academic space it is today. Under his guidance, the department has evolved into a hub of excellence where students are motivated to engage in critical thinking, independent research, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
The dedicated faculty members have also been instrumental in this journey. Their expertise, approachability, and commitment to student growth created an atmosphere of curiosity and learning. Through their mentorship, I gained practical exposure to molecular biology, microbiology, and bioinformatics, and learned how to apply theoretical concepts to real-world scientific problems. Their constant support during projects, workshops, and internships greatly strengthened my technical and analytical skills.
The department also encourages participation in seminars, conferences, and student-led initiatives, fostering confidence, leadership, and teamwork. These opportunities not only enhanced my academic knowledge but also prepared me for future research challenges.
Looking back, I am deeply grateful to Dr. Tribedi and all the faculty members of the Department of Biotechnology, The Neotia University, for nurturing my passion for science and guiding me toward a meaningful career in research. The department’s blend of academic excellence, innovation, and mentorship will always remain the foundation of my scientific journey.
