Hello, I am currently pursuing M.Sc. In Biotechnology, Department of Biotechnology, School of Science & Technology, The Neotia University. I completed my B.Sc. (Hons.) in Biotechnology from the Department of Biotechnology, The Neotia University. Our department is very much research-oriented. All the faculty members of our department are well-qualified with great expertise and experience in their field. All the faculty members are very supportive and always ready to help. They always motivate us to engage in various research activities and innovation. As a result of this, we developed a Low-cost DNA extraction kit, and it is in the trial phase and have a plan for startup. In our department, we have 7 dedicated laboratories and well-equipped classrooms. Every year, a National seminar BIONEXUS: Bridging the gaps between science and society. And always seminars and conferences, and workshops are conducted to learned students’ new technology and research ideas. As I am speaking about the department, I should talk about the person who is taking the department into a new direction. The person is Professor Prosun Tribedi, HOD Department of Biotechnology, Dean of Academics, Director of R&D committee, The Neotia University. He is also ready to help students with any difficulties and encourages us to take part in research and innovation activities. In our department, students get well exposure to the hands-on experience of the laboratory. Overall, our department is supportive, research-oriented, and makes it a desirable place for students to get a proper learning experience.
