International Lawyers’ Conference 2023
The staff and students of School of Legal Studies, TNU, attended a Two-Day International Lawyers’ Conference on 23rd and 24th September 2023 conducted by the Bar Council of India in association with the Law Society of England and Wales, and the Bar Council of England and Wales. The conference was live streamed online for the benefit of the law students, teachers, practitioners, and researchers across India. It was themed on “Emerging Challenges in the Justice Delivery System”. The students witnessed speeches from different luminaries of the government. Some of the notable inclusions were Honorable Prime Minister of India, Shri. Narendra Modi, Honorable Chief Justice of India, Dr. D. Y. Chandrachaud, Honorable Minister of Law and Justice [Independent Charge], Government of India, Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal, Honorable Union Home Minister, Shri. Amit Shah. It was an enriching and enlightening experience for the teachers and students.

SKILL DEVELOPMENT TRAINING PROGRAM
(Held from 6th to 8th August-2023 at TNU premises)
School of Pharmacy, The Neotia University organized a three-day skill development training
program for their 4th year B. Pharm students. The program was conducted by Rubicon Skill
Development Pvt. Ltd., The expert trainer was Ms. Neha Agarwal from Rubicon, while
training she focused on writing CVs, and self-introductions as well as on how to excel in the
interviews. Near about 85 students participated in the program.

On 28th August 2023, the School of Pharmacy, The Neotia University, organized a Guest Lecture on
“Current Trend, Scope and Career Opportunities in Pharmacovigilance and Clinical Research”,
The inaugural function was graced by Shri Suhas Mukherjee, The Assistant Vice President,
Student affairs, as Chief guest, Dr. Manish, Registrar, TNU as Guest of Honor, Dr. Partha Kumar
Mukherjee, Dean, School of Science and Technology as Chairperson, Scientific Session. It Begin
with the lighting lamp and Saraswati Vandana and thereafter felicitation to the invited guests, followed
by felicitation to the student Mr. Nilesh Naskar for being awarded as “Best Student Award-2023, by
Association of Pharmacy Professionals. The inaugural function was presided by Prof. S. C. Dinda,
Dean, School of Pharmacy, and continued with an address by the guest speakers followed by the vote of thanks by Prof. Sankhadip Bose, TNU.
Two resource persons from the Industry, Mr. Gurpreet Singh, Vice President, Freyr Solution,
United Kingdom and Dr. Tarunjot Singh, Director, Stenos Health, Chandigarh India, Delivered
their scientific lecture on relevant topics on Pharmacovigilance and clinical research. The Scientific sessions were chaired by Prof. Sankhadip Bose and Dr. Partha Kumar Mukherjee and moderated by Dr. Chinmaya Mahapatra. A total of 117 participants from B. Pharm 3rd year and 4th year students as well as some students of the Bio-Science stream attended the program.
Speakers were awarded mementos and certificates followed by the vote of thanks by Prof.
Mr. SUBHRA PRASAD CHAKRABORTY has secured 1st position in the all-India entrance examination for M. Pharm admission conducted by IIT, BHU, Varanasi.
The National Fish Farmers Day was celebrated by The Division of Fisheries Science at The
Neotia University on 12 th July, 2023. Prof Biswajith Gosh, Vice Chancellor, Dr Manish,
Registrar of The Neotia University, Rajarshi Chattopadhayay, Senior Vice President of Anmol
Feeds Pvt Ltd, Kolkata participated in the program.
Prof H Shivananda Murthy, Chair Professor/Dean welcomed dignitaries and the gathering gave
an insight to the significance of the Fish Farmers Day Celebration, highlighting the break
through achieved in induced breeding of Indian major carps for the first time in captivity in the
country during 10 th July, 1957. During the occasion, Mr Israfil Mondal, a progressive and
enterprising Fish Farmer was awarded with Best Fish Farmer Award, while Kanyanagar Society
for Community Empowerment, was presented with Best Ornamental Fish Producing Society. A
good number fish, farmers, faculty and students attended the program.
The Hindu News Paper published a Report on the inauguration of the fish hatchery and other units.

The CBCS grading pattern is based on earned credits every semester.
