National Seminar on “Rice Research and Development-Present Status and Future Priorities”

A National Seminar on “Rice Research and Development-Present Status and Future Priorities” organized by School of Agriculture and Allied Sciences, The Neotia University on 11th October 2022 (Tuesday).
The programme started with lighting of lamp and a brief inaugural note by Dr. Manish Jha, Registrar and Mr. Suhas Mukherjee, Assistant Vice President, The Neotia University. Prof. Dr. Sushil Kumar Kothari, Dean, School of Agriculture and Allied Sciences, The Neotia University while welcoming guest speakers, participants, colleagues and students highlighted the significance of rice crop in the context of location of the university and agriculture research in general. Prof. Dr. Ranjit Kumar Sarkar, Ex-Director, Dean and Professor, Faculty of Agriculture, Calcutta University, Dr. Indrani Dana, Joint Director of Research (Rice Development), Rice Research Station, Chinsurah, Govt. of West Bengal, Dr. Bijan Adhikary, Rice Breeder, Rice Research Station, Chinsurah, Govt. of West Bengal, Dr. B.N. Ghosh, Principal Scientist, ICAR-NBSSLUP, Salt Lake, Kolkata, Dr. Manas Kumar Bag, Principal Scientist, ICAR-NRRI, Cuttack, Odisha, Prof. B.C. Saha, School of Agriculture and Allied Sciences, The Neotia University delivered lectures on topics related to rice research and development. The programme ended with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Ananda Kr. Mandal, Visiting Professor, School of Agriculture and Allied Sciences, The Neotia University.
